The ChiBall Method™ is a fusion mind-body exercise-to-music programme inspired from Tai Chi-Qi Gong, Dance, Yoga, Pilates, Feldenkrais and Meditation. Gentle and flowing movements are choreographed to music according to principles of traditional Chinese medicine [to reflect energies of the seasons], and guide class participants through a 1 hour low-impact exploration of mindful movement, sensation and space.
Combined with elements of colour and aromatherapy, the result is a return to harmony, balance and wellbeing.

About John
John was introduced to Yoga on advise from a Chiropractor after suffering a serious spinal injury. The therapeutic and meditative benefits of yoga were soon realised. The gentle mobilising and stretching of this first practice not only relieved chronic pain but also led to a positive life changing experience.
An unexpected opportunity to teach was the catalyst for John to pursue yoga as not only a life style but also a career. He graduated from the distinguished “Yoga Teaching Diploma” at Nature Care College in Sydney and was accepted as a member of the
Yoga Teachers Association of Australia. He began teaching in community halls and gymnasiums and soon became a highly regarded team fitness leader. In March 2008, a dream was realised when John opened the Peninsula Yoga Centre.
John has delivered yoga packages to seniors, children with special needs, and people with injuries in the form of rehabilitation, beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels.
His philosophy to yoga teaching is that: Yoga is available to every person regardless of age, physical or mental condition. A practice is available to anyone who is willing to improve his or her own health and well being.

The specific and ancient exercised practiced in Qi Gong work on correcting and harmonising these 3 aspects of being by directing the flow of energy (chi) through the meridans and channels of the whole body.
With regular pactice Qi Gong helps to cleanse the body of toxins, reduce stress and helps individuals maintain a healthy and active life.
Deborah
Hi, my name is Deborah. I teach a Pilates class at the Yoga Centre each week. As a health and fitness professional for over 20 years, I have taught just about every form of exercise, including aerobics and strength training. Of all the forms of exercise I have taught Pilates is my favourite. I had severe scoliosis as a child and have had spinal fusion surgery. Many years later I had complications and only 9 years ago, Drs were putting me in a wheelchair! Having had the training in exercise, I have worked my way back to pain free living. I owe so much to Pilates and that is why I know it works!! I currently teach in several gyms around the coast. I teach Pilates, Les Mills Body Balance, Freestyle aerobics, Older Adults, Boxing, Weight loss programs, Hot Cycle and I'm a qualified Personal Trainer.
Pilates involves a series of exercises that place intense concentration on your abdominal muscles. It helps improve your balance and co ordination, strength and improves posture. This unique system will create long, lean tones muscles. Combine these exercises with mental concentration and breath work, and the result is a mind/body fitness programme that can help you feel mentally and emotionally balanced with a stronger body.
Being a Personal Trainer I also incorporate fit balls, pilates rings and weights into the more advanced classes.
Personal Training clients are welcome at the Yoga Studio. I can arrange one-on-one sessions for you and a friend can share a session. If you're unmotivated, need some encouragement to get moving, weight loss, training for a specific event or just some "me" time, why not treat yourself?
Dan Fanthorpe
I have a background in classical Hatha yoga,
including Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and yoga therapy.
My main practice is Ashtanga but my focus at the moment
is on yoga therapy. I guide students toward comfortable stillness in
yoga asana. We work on creating a balanced body to live in and a
balanced mind to live with.
I started teaching yoga in 1997 at a small
school hall in New Zealand with 3 students and when I left, there
were 20. Teaching those first classes fired my passion for
teaching and from there at the age of 18 I did my first Hatha Yoga
Teacher Training with the IYTA in New Zealand. I also studied with my mother Valda Jaquiery in the Iyengar system for 2 years.
With the yearning for knowledge I decided to leave New Zealand
and head to India. It was there I found a love for Ashtanga yoga and Buddhist
Tantra . After a few years of searching and dabbling my feet in the yoga well, teaching and practicing, I completed an Advanced Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in Byron Bay with Louisa Seer at Yoga Arts for 9 continuous months. I then came back to New Zealand to set up the Tapas School of Yoga in New Plymouth. From there I had the opportunity to come to Sydney and work with Eileen Hall as a senior teacher at Ashtanga Yoga Moves in Paddington. I also teach classes at Elix’r Health Club in Sydney and conduct workshops internationally.
Jacqui Fletcher and Satyananda Yoga
“My name is Jacqui Fletcher and I teach Yoga in the Satyananada style at the Peninsula Yoga Centre and various other locations around the central coast.
Both my practise and teaching have developed a strong therapeutic focus – something that the Satyananda system of Yoga lends itself well to.
In addition to holding general classes, I am also available to develop individual programs and teach one-on-one or small group classes to deal with specific issues or special needs.
The benefits of Satyananda Yoga are that it is:-
Wholistic- utilises different practises from a wide variety of Yoga styles.
Adaptable- The practises can be modified to meet the needs of the student regardless of their level of mobility or flexibility. The practises can be as challenging as the students’ capacity allows and tailored to address a whole range of health issues.
Stress reducing- provides tools and coping mechanisms to help deal with the everyday symptoms of stressful living.
“Through an approach that incorportates an awareness of all aspects of being. Satyananda Yoga promotes the alignment of the delicate balance between body, mind, emotions and spirit – head, heart and hands”.
During a trypical class, the integral style of Satyananda Yoga is seen in the combination of practises which address the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of one’s nature – asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing practises), mediatation and/or Satyananda Yoga Nidra”.
